Maybe I was pinched too much as a child, but I've never been too excited about St Patrick's Day. Or it could be that, since I'm a grown up, I don't feel I need an excuse drink to excess and make an ass of myself. I can do that any day. Still, I should have had a crappy drawing of a child as a Leprechaun at the top of this post.
I'll do my best to make it up to you tomorrow.
Instead of drawing leprechauns, as I should have, I continued the rewrite of the post-apocalyptic comedy. I'm eager to finish it so I can start telling you about the next book. It's been sitting on the hard drive for three years in hopes of the publishing world rebounding. I don't see that happening and with the excitement around Kindle and other epub formats, I can't wait to get it out there.
It's more of a mainstream action adventure type story with incompetent protagonists that are not and were never a spy/soldier/cop/detective/journalist/lawyer.
Yeah, I can't wait to start bugging everyone about that one.
I'm about 100 pages, a third, of the way through this rewrite. I'm still aiming for the end of march as a release date. Then onto the next one. I'm trying to do a better job of keeping updates at 2000 words if you're interested in following the process from manuscript to epub format.
As I find deadlines a great motivator, most of my energy will be poured into getting the book done. But, I'll still try and sketch up a Leprechaun.
